Over the last several years, I’ve received quite a number of mailings with contact information for Paul Hallmark saying that he works with state employees in terms of long-term care insurance. Quite honestly, other things took a higher priority. Well, finally, my husband and I decided that we needed to look into long-term care, costs, and insurance.
We had met with two other financial advisors and had started the application process with them. Somehow it felt as though we were getting in over our head financially as far as what we could afford over time as our income became more fixed. Then we called Paul. He met with us on a Saturday morning and spent several hours explaining long-term care, what it can cost, and insurance that can help defray some of those costs. We felt that Paul was in “our corner,” so to speak, in terms of discussing coverage that was affordable as we head into retirement. He also explained how long-term care works in conjunction with other policies or coverage we may have. We really appreciated the time he spent with us and for the first time felt comfortable in taking the next step and applying for the coverage.
Well, in summary, we are really glad that we contacted him. From our viewpoint, he is doing a wonderful job for the state. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything so it’s easy to understand. When the policy was approved, Paul met with us again to go over it and outline the coverage again. If necessary, we would feel very comfortable if we had to call him to ask more questions.
Thank you.
